"Fame is finally only the sum total of all the misunderstandings that can gather around a new name"--Rilke

"Legendary dance music hipster Simon Reynolds once brought to our attention the idea that breakbeat was responsible for the death of Dance Music."  (from this site )

is hipster a qualification, a slight, or a mix of the two?

"hipster" contains an implicit judgement,i suspect -- and a judgement is something that's within anyone's rights to make --

it's the statement about breakbeat as death of dance that is the opposite of anything i ever might have said

(now i think about it, i did *quote* someone in Eflash who said something to that effect)
